The story
Silica-dust control
Contractors working on concrete, masonry and board need an M-class extractor to meet dust exposure rules. The VC 40M-X connects to Hilti's DRS hoods on hammers, breakers, grinders and saws, and handles wet slurry from core drilling. Air flow is 74 l/s at the motor and vacuum 24.5 kPa.
Keeps suction up
Adaptive automatic filter cleaning pulses the filter as it loads, so suction does not fall off during long cuts. The socket takes tools up to 1200 W and switches the extractor on with the tool. It can be converted to a continuous-bag system for easier emptying.
Built for sites
A push bar, rugged tyres and a 7 m cord suit site use. It comes with a filter and a 36 mm anti-static hose 4.65 m long, and weighs 14.4 kg. Its 22.8 l water capacity makes it suitable for coring slurry.
