The story
For beams, tenons and sheet material
Carpenters and timber-frame builders use the HK 85 to cut square timber, tenons, boards and thick sheet material, as well as wood-fibre insulation and sandwich panels. The plunge-style depth adjustment, remote lever for the pendulum guard and riving knife make heavy cuts safer, and the central clamp sets bevels from 0 to 60° in one move.
A system saw
On an FSK cross-cutting rail it gives fast, repeatable cross and mitre cuts on site; on an FS guide rail it rips long, straight edges. The VN-HK85 grooving unit turns it into a groove cutter for notches and housings. MMC electronics keep the 1,900 W motor at constant speed under load, and the quick-acting brake stops the blade. Supplied with a blade and parallel side fence in a Systainer³ SYS3 M 437.
