The story
Loose-tenon joints by hand
The DF 500 is the workshop DOMINO for cabinetmakers and joiners building carcasses, frames, drawers and panel joints. It routes slots for tenons from 4 × 20 mm to 10 × 50 mm, making joints that are strong and rotation-proof from the first tenon, and joins parts as thin as 12 mm.
How it cuts
The 420 W motor turns the cutter at 25,500 rpm while it also swings sideways, cutting a clean, exact slot without overheating the cutter. Stop pins register off edges or previous mortises for repeat spacing, depth stops match standard tenon lengths, and a wider slot setting leaves room for adjustment on the second part.
DOMINO system
It uses the full range of DOMINO tenons in beech or weather-resistant sipo, the knock-down connectors and the trim and cross stops in the Set. The dust port takes CLEANTEC hoses, and the plug it cable is removable. The Plus version ships with a 5 mm cutter in a Systainer³ SYS3 M 187.
