The story
Demolition without a generator
Renovation and groundworks crews break out floors, bases and walls on sites where running a cable or generator is awkward. The HM002G gives 20.9 J at up to 1,900 blows per minute, in the same class as corded 10 kg demolition hammers, from two XGT batteries.
Comfort and control
The vibration-damped handle keeps chiselling vibration to 6.6 m/s² with the D-handle. Soft start stops the point skating when you begin, constant-speed control holds the blow rate under load, and the chisel can be set at 12 angles. A sliding one-touch chuck makes changing SDS-max points quick.
How it fits
It runs on two XGT batteries at once, so it shares packs with every other 40Vmax tool. AWS is supported via Makita's Bluetooth adapter. Supplied in a plastic case with a bull point, and a regular choice for hire fleets.
