## The story

### DOMINO joints away from the socket

The DFC 500 is for joiners and furniture makers who build frames, carcasses and panel joints on site or at the customer's home. It cuts the same mortises as the corded DF 500 for tenons from 4 × 20 mm to 10 × 50 mm, so a kitchen, wardrobe or stair part can be jointed where it is fitted.

### Oscillating cutter, fast set-up

The cutter spins and swings side to side at the same time, making a clean slot with little effort and without overheating the bit. Four stop pins register off an edge or a previous mortise for repeat spacing, depth stops match the tenon lengths, and a choice of slot widths takes up tolerance. A spade handle with soft grip helps control.

### Part of two systems

It accepts the existing DOMINO accessories, tenons and connectors and runs on the Festool 18V packs; a cordless CLEANTEC extractor completes a fully cable-free set-up. Operating data and updates come through the Festool app. The Basic version ships with a 5 mm cutter in a Systainer³ SYS3 M 237.
