## The story

### The fitting and repair tool

Carpenters, plumbers and renovators reach for a multi-tool when nothing else fits: trimming door casings for flooring, cutting openings in boards, removing grout and scraping adhesive. The DTM52 does all of these with a 3.6° total oscillation angle for fast cutting.

### Comfort and control

AVT keeps vibration at or below 2.5 m/s² in every listed mode, which reduces fatigue on long grout jobs. The variable speed dial matches speed to the accessory, soft start avoids a jolt, and the tool head can be locked at 12 angles. An LED lights the work.

### Accessories

The Starlock Max interface allows tool-free blade changes and takes Starlock, Starlock Plus and Starlock Max accessories, so blades from many brands fit. Makita offers its own 94 mm sanding pads and abrasives for the tool. It runs on any 18V LXT battery, and a compact 2.0 Ah pack keeps it light for overhead trimming.
