# Makita > One battery for the whole site — and the garden - **Founded:** 1915 - **Headquarters:** Anjo, Japan - **Website:** https://www.makita.eu - **Products:** 36 ## From motor repairs to 300 tools on one battery Makita began as an electric-motor repair shop in Nagoya in 1915, built Japan's first electric planer in 1958 and has been a cordless pioneer since the seventies. Its 18V LXT range runs well over 300 tools on one slide battery. ## Heavy duty on 40Vmax, outdoors on battery XGT 40Vmax takes over where 18V runs out: SDS-max hammers, breakers, power cutters. And Makita's cordless garden range lets landscapers leave petrol behind entirely. ## Warranty One year's warranty on Makita tools, extended to three years when you register within 30 days of purchase. Batteries and chargers have two years. ## Battery platforms - [Makita LXT 18V](https://tools-universe.superfast.shop/en/battery-platforms/makita-lxt-18v.md) (18 V): More than 300 tools on one slide battery - [Makita XGT 40Vmax](https://tools-universe.superfast.shop/en/battery-platforms/makita-xgt-40vmax.md) (40 V): Heavy duty without the cord - [Makita CXT 12Vmax](https://tools-universe.superfast.shop/en/battery-platforms/makita-cxt-12vmax.md) (12 V): Compact 12V for light drilling and lasers ## Categories - [Sawing](https://tools-universe.superfast.shop/en/sawing?brand=makita) (6) - [Drilling & driving](https://tools-universe.superfast.shop/en/drilling-and-driving?brand=makita) (5) - [Concrete & demolition](https://tools-universe.superfast.shop/en/concrete-and-demolition?brand=makita) (5) - [Cutting & grinding](https://tools-universe.superfast.shop/en/cutting-and-grinding?brand=makita) (4) - [Garden & outdoor](https://tools-universe.superfast.shop/en/garden-and-outdoor?brand=makita) (4) - [Batteries & chargers](https://tools-universe.superfast.shop/en/batteries-and-chargers?brand=makita) (4) - [Site & extraction](https://tools-universe.superfast.shop/en/site-and-extraction?brand=makita) (3) - [Measuring & detection](https://tools-universe.superfast.shop/en/measuring-and-detection?brand=makita) (2) - [Accessories & consumables](https://tools-universe.superfast.shop/en/accessories-and-consumables?brand=makita) (2) - [Storage & hand tools](https://tools-universe.superfast.shop/en/storage-and-hand-tools?brand=makita) (1) ## Technology - [AVT (Anti-Vibration Technology)](https://tools-universe.superfast.shop/en/technology/avt-anti-vibration-technology.md): Counterbalance and dampening systems in hammers, grinders and multi-tools that cut hand-arm vibration exposure. - [BL Brushless Motor](https://tools-universe.superfast.shop/en/technology/bl-brushless-motor.md): Electronically controlled brushless motors for more runtime, power and service life, now standard on pro LXT/XGT tools. - [AWS (Auto-start Wireless System)](https://tools-universe.superfast.shop/en/technology/aws-auto-start-wireless-system.md): Bluetooth link that starts a compatible Makita dust extractor automatically when the tool is triggered. - [XPT (eXtreme Protection Technology)](https://tools-universe.superfast.shop/en/technology/xpt-extreme-protection-technology.md): Seals and drainage paths improve dust and water resistance for use in rain and on dirty sites. - [AFT (Active Feedback-sensing Technology)](https://tools-universe.superfast.shop/en/technology/aft-active-feedback-sensing-technology.md): Detects sudden bit/disc binding and shuts the motor down to reduce kickback on hammers, grinders and cutters. - [ADT (Automatic torque Drive Technology)](https://tools-universe.superfast.shop/en/technology/adt-automatic-torque-drive-technology.md): Automatically shifts speed and torque to match load, for fast cuts in light material and power in heavy material. - [Star Protection](https://tools-universe.superfast.shop/en/technology/star-protection.md): Tool-battery communication that guards against overload, over-discharge and overheating. ## Best sellers | Products | Brand | Battery platform | Specifications | EUR Net (excl.
