## Summary

The DC40RA charges 40Vmax XGT batteries, a 5.0 Ah pack in about 50 minutes. Two cooling fans handle battery and circuit temperature, and the ADP10 adapter lets it charge LXT batteries too.

## Why this one

- **50-minute 5.0 Ah charge**: 22–76 minutes across the XGT range.
- **Two cooling fans**: Separate cooling for battery and circuit.
- **LXT via ADP10**: Charges 18V batteries with an adapter.
- **Wall-mountable**: Fixes to a wall in the workshop or van.

## The story

### Charging the XGT range

The DC40RA is the standard charger in XGT kits. It charges 2.0 Ah packs in 22 minutes and 8.0 Ah in 76 minutes, and can charge batteries one after another without waiting for it to cool, which suits crews running breakers and cutters.

### Features

Two fans cool the battery and the charging circuit separately. A large status light shows progress, and a selectable melody signals a full charge. It can be wall-mounted, and with the ADP10 adapter it charges 18V LXT batteries, useful in mixed-platform vans.
