## The story

### The standard LXT pack

The 5.0 Ah battery is the most common choice for LXT users: enough capacity for saws and hammers, light enough for drills and drivers. It fits more than 300 LXT tools, and two are used together in 36V tools such as mowers, plunge saws and extractors.

### Protection and charging

Star Protection communication between tool and battery guards against overload, over-discharge and overheating, which protects both cells and motor. A built-in gauge shows the charge level before you start a job. On the DC18RC fast charger it charges in about 45 minutes.
