## The story

### The size for pipes and ducts

102 mm is the hole plumbers and ventilation fitters drill again and again for waste pipes and ducts through walls and slabs. This universal SP-L bit covers both concrete and masonry, so one bit serves most penetrations on a job. Anyone renting or buying a DD 150-U-22 core drill from us will usually need it too.

### Consistent coring

Hilti Equidist places the diamonds at set positions within the laser-welded segments, which keeps the coring speed steady as the bit wears. It is rated for wet coring in concrete and dry coring in masonry, handheld or on a rig; a hole-starting aid is available for handheld work.

### BI connection

The BI end (M41 quick-release) is Hilti's own connection and fits the DD 150-U-22 and Hilti's other DD core drills, from handheld units up to rig-mounted machines. Hilti names the DD 110, DD 120, DD 130, DD 150-U and DD 160 as compatible. The same line comes in 82 mm for smaller pipes, and with other connection ends for older machines.
