## The story

### For big timber

Stairs, entrance doors, beds, workbenches and timber-frame details need joints that take real load. The DF 700 cuts mortises for tenons up to 14 mm thick, and the 14 × 100 mm size gives a large glue area in thick solid timber. Stair builders and door makers use it where they would otherwise cut traditional mortise and tenon joints.

### Why DOMINO holds

Each DOMINO has the cross-section of three round dowels of the same diameter, so joints are stiffer and cannot rotate from the first tenon. Guide ribs centre it in the mortise, and glue pockets and grooves spread the glue evenly while letting the excess escape. Chamfered ends ease assembly; the 14 mm size needs the DOMINO XL DF 700.
